Community Language Learn: Spanish
4-5pm. Galena Digital Library. 6954 US-150, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119. Join us at the Galena Digital Library in taking the first steps to learning a new language! Connect with other eager learners in the community to practice together and develop Spanish speaking skills. We will be utilizing Mango Languages and partnering with Indiana University Southeast Professor Amy Zink to provide multiple forms of learning Spanish with a Q&A after the introduction. Registration required.
Tails & Tales: Mia the Therapy Dog
4-5pm. Galena Digital Library. Come read to therapy dog, Mia, she loves to have stories read to her! Anyone can come read to her, each person who signs up will have a 10 minute time slot to read one on one for up to 6 readers each visit. Registration required.
7-9pm. The Earl. Recurring weekly on Monday. New Albany IN. Free event.

9am-12pm. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered weekdays M-F. Fun open play for friends under 54”. Two large bounce houses, a huge slide, trampolines, a foam pit, and lots of space to run, jump, and play! $8/child or $40 punch card for 6 visits or multiple kids.
9:30-11am. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays. Limited to first 20 child participants. Our TOT SPOT program is for children 3 and under for socialization, movement, and music. Students will meet in our Launch Pad UPSTAIRS and complete some obstacles, and there will be music, games, and storytime. One adult may enter with a child.

11am-12pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all.
1-2pm. Galena Digital Library. 6954 US-150, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings. After the storytime, we'll have 30 minutes of play and social time. *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.
All About Art for Elementary Students
4:30-5:30pm. Cultural Arts Center. If you're in elementary school (Grade K-4), join us at the Cultural Arts Center to learn about different art techniques and artists each month. For the month of April, we will use the poem "Bleezer's Ice Cream" by Jack Prelutsky to learn about poetry and alliteration. Attendees will learn to draw ice cream scoops on a cone that they will decorate and give flavor names to. All supplies will be provided. We hope to see you there! Registration required.
Sellersburg Teen/Adult Crochet Club
5:30-6:30pm. Bring your crochet or knitting project to work on. Open to tweens/teens and adults. No registration is required.
6-6:45pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children's librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun "bedtime" stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family's regular weekly bedtime routine.
Adult Craft Night @ Henryville
6:30-7:30pm. Henryville Library. JOIN US TO TRANSFORM YOUR FAVORITE BOOK INTO ARTWORK WITH BEAUTIFUL PAINTED EDGES. All materials will be provided. However if you have a particular book you would like to use to paint edges on, you are encouraged to bring it with you. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. OPEN TO ADULTS 18+.

1-2pm. Cultural Arts Center. 201 E Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Join us for an afternoon of early literacy fun for babies! There will be stories, songs, and sensory activities for babies to interact with at the end of the program. Registration required.
Earth Day Extravaganza at the Cultural Arts Center
3:30-6pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join the Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center for an Earth Day Extravaganza, a community-wide outdoor celebration dedicated to honoring our planet through creativity, science, and play. From 3:30 to 6:00 PM, Cultural Art Center staff members will host a hands-on, family-friendly afternoon filled with STEAM exploration, environmental education, and classic field-day fun. Throughout the event, patrons of all ages will be invited to celebrate the Earth and learn how our everyday actions impact the ecosystems around us. One of the highlights of the day will be our tree giveaway, offered in hopes of supporting local ecosystems and encouraging environmental stewardship beyond the event. Available trees include Tulip Trees and Common Chokecherry, both beneficial native species that support pollinators and wildlife. Participants will also have the opportunity to dive into STEAM learning through an engaging, hands-on water cycle craft, where guests can explore evaporation, condensation, and precipitation in a visual and interactive way. In addition, patrons can experiment with bubbles in unique and unexpected ways, sparking curiosity about surface tension, air, and movement while having plenty of messy, joyful fun. To keep the energy high, the Cultural Arts Center grounds will transform into a mini field day, featuring a variety of yard games such as cornhole, yard Jenga, dominoes, and more. Friends of the Library Book Sale
10am-1pm. Jeffersonville Library. The Friends of the Library, which is a volunteer support group of the Jeffersonville Township Public Library, host a Book Sale four times a month. The sales are held on the 2nd & 4th Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Our book sale room is located at the South end of the main library (closest to Court Avenue) on the lower level.
10:30am-5pm. Galena Branch. Stop by the Galena Digital Branch for our Arbor Day FREE tree giveaway! Available trees will include Black Cherry and White Pine. We'll start handing them out at 10:30 am on Friday, April 24, we'll also have an Earth Day related activity (hopefully outside)! We'll hand trees out while they last, up to 2 trees per family.
