  • Toddler Time: 10-11am. Ages 2-3. Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and other activities. This storytime is designed for Toddlers, but all are welcome!

  • Sensory Friendly Storytime: 4-4:45pm. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes.

    Dinopalooza at the Zoo

    May 17 - September 1, travel back 65 to 200 million years in time to meet iconic prehistoric animals! Encounter 23 roaring, breathing giants from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Enjoy the world’s tallest, life-sized robotic dinosaurs — ranging from 5-foot-long baby triceratops to a 40-foot-long tyrannosaurus rex. Free with admission or membership.

    Get Fit, Floyd County!

    6-7pm. Kevin Hammersmith Park. Floyd County Parks and Recreation offers FREE outdoor group fitness classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings! All Get Fit, Floyd County! classes will take place at the KFC Stage and turf grass area, located between the main entrance to the New Albany Little League fields and the splash pad.

    Come From Away

    6pm. Derby Dinner Playhouse. Aug 13, 2025 - Sep 28, 2025. This exciting new Broadway Musical chronicles the real-life experiences of the people of Gander, Newfoundland, and the almost 7,000 airline passengers who were forced to land there when US air space was closed on September 11, 2001. Twelve actors tell the story of both the Islanders and the Plane People, revealing the fear and uncertainty that came with the terrorist attacks – as well as the profound generosity and compassion of strangers. Tickets required.

  • Babies and Books: 10am-10:30am. Join us on Tuesday mornings as we sing, read board books, and have fun learning early literacy! Registration not required.

  • Seed Saving 101: 10-11am. Registration required.

  • It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. 

  • Pajama Time Stories: 6pm-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. Registration not required.

    Kids Eat Free Tuesday

    4-10pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Every Tuesday, for every adult meal purchased, one child under the age of 12 can order a meal from the kid’s menu for free.

    Henryville Farmer’s Market

    5-7pm. 305 North Ferguson, Henryville, IN. Henryville Farmers Market opens May 6th and runs until October 23rd. The Market will be open every Tuesday and Thursday. Help support your local farmers and Small Businesses. We will also have Food Trucks at some of the Markets. We will let everyone know the week before what Food Truck will be there.

    Chick-fil-A Blocks & Brownies

    5-7pm. Chick-fil-A Veterans Parkway. Kids ages 3-12 can pick out a building block kit—choose from a variety of animals or vehicles—and work alongside your family to build your creation. One kit per child. When you’re finished, show us your completed project to receive a FREE Fudge Brownie . Feel free to join us for dinner before or after. Free Dino Day at Kentucky Science Center

10am-2pm. Kentucky Science Center. Get ready for prehistoric fun as we celebrate all things dinosaur with family-friendly activities across three floors and 50,000 square feet of hands-on discovery. Most activities free with general admission.

Saturdays on the Square

10am-1pm. Check out local vendors on the Charlestown City Square every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Saturdays on the Square Pop-up Market. Vendors range from local artists, craft makers, bakers, food, authors, civic groups, and more.

Grand Opening of Lavender Creek Farm Store

11am. 5551 Hwy 62NE, Corydon IN. We have named it Le Petit Marché, French for the little market, because it is a small 200-square-foot space. Though it is small, it is beautiful and will contain many lovely items to shop. Our coffee and lemonade truck will be set up outside the shop. Come and sip on a latte or a refreshing lemonade and shop the store.

The World of Fossils – Paleontology Explorer

3-4pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Fossils define the history of life. From simple to complex, sea to land, life has fought to survive through natural disasters of all kinds. Alan Goldstein will use fossils to describe the diversity of fossils and what we know about them. Free event.

Tie Dye Day

4pm. The Depot, 1000 Park Street, Charlestown, IN. Participants will have the opportunity to dye a scarf and take it home! The cost is $5 per scarf and open to all ages. Registration required.

Date Night Magic

7-8pm. J&B Magic Theater New Albany IN. Giancarlo Bernini has astounded international audiences with an incredible magic show experience, with multiple national television and radio appearances under his belt, including Penn & Teller: Fool Us and The Jennifer Fulwiler Show. He has performed across the country in venues like Lucas Oil Stadium and the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with the very magic that he is excited to bring to New Albany, Indiana.

Devonian Dining and Outer Fossil Bed Hike

4-7pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Grab your walking stick and picnic dinner and then join naturalist Mike Gibson on a late afternoon – early evening stroll on the outer fossil beds. Explore the ancient and modern wildlife at the Falls. Use a rock for your table. Bring hand sanitizer and plan to pack out your trash.
