Bouncetime at SIGS

9am-12pm. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered weekdays M-F. FUN OPEN PLAY FOR FRIENDS UNDER 54". Two large bounce houses, a huge slide, trampolines, a foam pit, and lots of space to run, jump, and play! $8/child or $40 punch card for 6 visits or multiple kids.

Tot Time at SIGS

9:30-11am. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays. Limited to first 20 child participants. Our TOT SPOT program is for children 3 and under for socialization, movement, and music. Students will meet in our Launch Pad UPSTAIRS and complete some obstacles, and there will be music, games, and storytime. One adult may enter with a child.

  • Babies & Books: 10-10:35am. Join us on Tuesday mornings for songs and stories! For ages 2 and under.

  • It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. 

  • All About Art for Elementary Students: 4:30-5:30pm. If you're in elementary school (Grade K-4), join us at the Cultural Arts Center to learn about different art techniques and artists each month. For the month of February, we will be learning about Faith Ringgold and story quilts. These story quilts will be drawings on paper about a favorite experience. All supplies will be provided. We hope to see you there! Registration required.

  • Pajama Time Stories: 6-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children's librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun "bedtime" stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family's regular weekly bedtime routine.

  • Mother Goose On the Loose: 1-2pm. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings.  After the storytime, we'll have 30 minutes of play and social time.  *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.

  • Read Between the Spines Book Club: 5:30-6:30pm. Do you like talking about books? Join us at the Galena Branch for our new book club for adults! This month's selection is "The Yellow Wife" by Sadeqa Johnson. Copies of the book are available to check out at Galena Digital Library for registered participants. Registration required.

Whether or not you've operated a sewing machine, or if you've attempted simple sewing projects and weren't satisfied with the results, you're invited to attend our class to learn basic sewing skills.   • Cozy Mystery Book Club @ Charlestown: 6:30-7:30pm. Enjoy a fun read that engages your mind and entertains. Come Join us for our monthly book club featuring the cozy mystery genre. This month we will be discussing A Street Car Named Murder by T.G. Herren.

    Single Day Camp - Nature Connects

    8:30am-5pm. Louisville Zoo. Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Nature is full of connections! Each living creature is connected to each other through their shared spaces and resources, including us! Your camper will learn about some of the things that connect us to the natural world as we investigate what connects the world with its creatures. $70 members, $75 non-members.

    Pints and Paints

    6-8pm. Our Lady of Perpetual Hops New Albany. Let's Paint Together! You must pre-pay. Includes all supplies and step-by-step instructions! Beginners welcome! Please Note: Arrive about 15 minutes early to get ready and prepped for painting. There is not a food truck on-site on Tuesday nights so you may want to plan accordingly and eat before you come. No outside drinks! All tickets are non-refundable.

    Jeopardy Bar League

    7-9pm. Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. JEOPARDY! Bar League, the official bar trivia experience from America’s Favorite Quiz Show is at Dog Haus Biergarten every Tuesday! Free event.

  • Baby’s Afternoon Out: 1-2pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join us for an afternoon of early literacy fun for babies! There will be stories, songs, and sensory activities for babies to interact with at the end of the program. Registration required.

  • Kids Club: 4-5pm. Come hang out each Wednesday and enjoy a different activity each week. Activities will range from play-doh to crafts to LEGOs! For Kids ages 6-11 years old. No registration required.

  • Found Objects - Frottage Drawings: 4:30-6:30pm. As a child, if you enjoyed making a rubbing of a coin using paper and pencil, then you are already familiar with “frottage” which is a French word for “rubbing”.  The famous 20th century Surrealist artist, Max Ernst popularized this technique for his modern art.  Ernst hit upon the frottage method while experiencing an intense artistic block.  Making rubbings from the wood grain floors of the hotel he was staying in provided the needed stimulation to reinvigorate his art.  If you enjoy doodling, then you may become interested in the textures created through frottage. Registration required.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE

6pm. Feb 18, 2026 - Mar 29, 2026. Derby Dinner Playhouse. An eclectic group of six awkward spelling champions vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion. This wildly funny Broadway Musical is a riotous ride, complete with audience participation! Tickets required.

  • Homeschool Game Club: 10:30am-12pm. Kids ages 6–12 (and their siblings) are invited to play fun board and card games, build teamwork and problem-solving skills, and make new friends. A weekly social and educational space just for homeschool families!

  • Open Studio Weekly Artist Check-in: 4-5pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join us for a once-weekly Open Studio designed for artists at any stage. This relaxed, supportive space offers free drawing time, creative block breakers, and optional guidance led by local artist and art educator Jessica Hartman. Registration required.

  • Teen Scene: 6-7:30pm. Hang out with us every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Teen Scene! Take a break in the middle of the week with a new activity, game, craft, or anything else we dream up, plus snacks! All kids ages 11-18 welcome.

  • Move & Groove Storytime: 10:30-11:30am. Join us at Galena on Thursdays as we move and groove to some fun books, basic rhythms and rhymes, and different music genres!  We'll use things like a drum, hand bells, rhythm sticks, egg shakers, or scarves in this lively and interactive storytime.  Moove & Groove will help build early literacy skills, social interaction, and blossoming young music lovers!

  • 3D Printing 101: 5:30-6:30pm. Bring your creative projects to life with the Bambu Lab X1-Carbon 3D printer. Learn how to use a 3D printer in this free class for ages 7 and up. This class will cover the basics on how to find or make a 3D print model, prepare it for printing, navigating the Bambu 3D printer interface, and tips to create a successful print.

Uncover amazing stories from the region’s past, and get creative with hands-on crafts inspired by the Fall’s history. It’s a family-friendly night full of fun, discovery, and imagination– where the past comes to life right before your eyes! “The Maiden Voyage of the NEW ORLEANS”

1-2:30pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Falls Forum is a monthly spring lecture series that examines the Falls of the Ohio region through interdisciplinary scholarship and public engagement. Featuring invited experts and researchers, the series explores a broad range of topics including archaeology, paleontology, geology, regional history, and the natural sciences. Each lecture focuses on a rotating theme, offering in-depth perspectives on the cultural, ecological, and geological forces that have shaped the Falls and peeks into the historic stories of the Falls. Designed for lifelong learners and curious minds of all backgrounds, Falls Forum offers an opportunity to connect science, history, and place—deepening our understanding of the past while inspiring stewardship for the future. $7 program fee. Meets in the auditorium. Exhibit gallery admission included with price of the program.

Water, Water, Everywhere

2-3pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Rivers flow here and there. Have you ever wondered how and why the Ohio River flows, falls, and rises the way it does? Join one of our Naturalists at Heart, as we explore the dynamics of water tables and watersheds. The activity will be demonstrated by our volunteer, but also interactive. Great for families with school-age children, but any age is welcome to participate. Location Rotunda and River Room, 1 hour, $7 program fee is covered by a grant from the Falls of the Ohio Foundation (Includes Admission).

A Year With Frog and Toad

A hit on Broadway and based on Arnold Lobel’s well-loved books, this whimsical musical follows two great friends – cheerful Frog and rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons.
