New Albany’s Burgers on the Bricks
Get ready for a week-long burger crawl through Downtown New Albany! Burgers on the Bricks brings together local restaurants serving up their most delicious burgers for just $8 each. Sign up for the FREE Burgers on the Bricks digital passport. Once downloaded, visit participating downtown restaurants during the event week, purchase a featured burger, and you’ll receive a code to check in that earns you points.

Babies & Books: 10-10:35am. Join us on Tuesday mornings for songs and stories! For ages 2 and under.
It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all.
Intro to Excel Formulas & Functions: 2-3:30pm. This class provides an initial exploration of formulas and functions in Microsoft Excel. Topics include formula principles, basic functions, common errors, and evaluating unfamiliar functions. Registration required.
Make A Bamboo Paintbrush: 4-6pm. Our paintbrush class during Fall Break 2025 was so popular we are bringing the class back! Join us on Tuesday, February 24 at the Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center for this free, fun and useful workshop to make your own paintbrush and create art. Museum staff member, Al Gorman, will lead a simple paintbrush making experience using bamboo for the handle, epoxy glue, and various types of hair that will make the brush. All supplies are provided. Registration is required.
Pajama Time Stories: 6-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children's librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun "bedtime" stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family's regular weekly bedtime routine.

Mother Goose On the Loose: 1-2pm. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings. After the storytime, we'll have 30 minutes of play and social time. *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.
Winter Teen Tuesday: 5-6pm. Come chill at the library for Teen Tuesday! This month you can create a design out of perler beads. Teens & tweens are welcome. Registration is recommended and snacks will be provided!

Basic Sewing Skills: 10am-12pm. So you want to learn to sew! A great opportunity awaits at your Library. Whether or not you've operated a sewing machine, or if you've attempted simple sewing projects and weren't satisfied with the results, you're invited to attend our class to learn basic sewing skills. Mother Goose Time: 10:30-11:15am. Happy Valentine's Day! Our highly energized, interactive storytime is going to includes lots of cuddles and lovey rhymes to celebrate with our little ones.

Fried Green Tomatoes: 1-3:30pm. We are watching a special screening of Fried Green Tomatoes (1991) just before our book club, the Wednesday Readers', will discuss the book written by Fannie Flagg at our meeting on February 28th at the Clarksville location.

Wednesday Readers Book Club: 1:30-2:30pm. The Clarksville group meets in-person the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. The group started out as an Oprah Book Club group and has continued for the past 25 years with lively discussions and thoughtful reading. The club discusses a wide variety of books and authors both fiction and non-fiction.
Granny Crafting Evening for Teens: 6-7pm. Do you knit? Crochet? Needlepoint? Bullet journal? Collage? Then this craft night is for you!! Bring your latest crafting project and join Ms. Monica (who will have collage making supplies) for an evening of granny crafts, tea, and scones!

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE
6pm. Feb 18, 2026 - Mar 29, 2026. Derby Dinner Playhouse. An eclectic group of six awkward spelling champions vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion. This wildly funny Broadway Musical is a riotous ride, complete with audience participation! Tickets required.

Galena - Garden Planning 101: 2:30-3:30pm. Join us on Saturday, February 28 from 2:30-3:30 PM for "Garden Planning 101" with the Sunnyside Master Gardeners. The Sunnyside Master Gardener Seed Saving Committee will review different ways that flowers, vegetables, or herbs may be grown in manner other than large in ground spaces. The discussion will include, raised beds, container gardening, straw bale design, and vertical gardening. All of these designs can be utilized in small to medium spaces. Any one of these designs can be used to grow open pollinated plants that can be grown to save the seeds for the next growing season or to share with family and friends. *Seed starting supplies will be available to give away.
