From cozy mysteries to detective novels to thrillers, chat about your prime suspects, the crime, characters, and more. Storyhour @ New Washington: 1-1:45pm. Children under the age of 5 and a caregiver will enjoy songs, stories and crafts this Spring at the library. This is a six-week program that runs from 2/2 - 3/13. Registration is required and begins 1/2. Call the library to register.
9am-12pm. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered weekdays M-F. FUN OPEN PLAY FOR FRIENDS UNDER 54". Two large bounce houses, a huge slide, trampolines, a foam pit, and lots of space to run, jump, and play! $8/child or $40 punch card for 6 visits or multiple kids.
9:30-11am. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays. Limited to first 20 child participants. Our TOT SPOT program is for children 3 and under for socialization, movement, and music. Students will meet in our Launch Pad UPSTAIRS and complete some obstacles, and there will be music, games, and storytime. One adult may enter with a child.

Babies & Books: 10-10:35am. Join us on Tuesday mornings for songs and stories! For ages 2 and under.
Coffee & Conversations: 10-11am. Coffee and Conversations is a monthly community program that invites everyone to gather and connect over coffee, light snacks, and conversation in a relaxed, inclusive environment. All are welcome at this community program, and our goal is to encourage understanding, meaningful connections, and community belonging between those who attend.
Vintage Cafe - Woven Hearts: 10-11am. Vintage Cafe is a monthly program for adults where we explore different hobbies and activities while socializing and have a fun time. This month's activity is creating a woven heart ornament using flat reed. Please join us 10am-11am! Light refreshments will be provided. Registration required.
It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all.
(Rescheduled) Gel Plate Monoprinting: 4:30-6:30pm. Cultural Arts Center. Interested in trying out a new art technique in the New Year? Join us for this class being offered on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 4:30-6:30 pm, as artist and instructor, Hannah Durham, introduces the monotype or monoprinting process. Monoprints blend painting with printmaking and are a fun, spontaneous method of creating one-of-a-kind prints on paper from a plate or block. For this class, the printing block will be a 6” x 6”, reusable pad of clear, silicone gel. Water soluble inks and acrylic paints are used as the pigments. The Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center’s lower level will be the site of these classes. Registration required.
Pajama Time Stories: 6-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children's librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun "bedtime" stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family's regular weekly bedtime routine.

Mother Goose On the Loose: 1-2pm. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings. After the storytime, we'll have 30 minutes of play and social time. *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.
Sew What’s Going On: 5-6:30pm. Are you ready to learn beginning quilt techniques? Join this monthly class for all ages! In this class you will learn beginner quilting techniques. You will learn hand sewing, how to cut a pattern, how to use a sewing machine, and much more. In the process, you will be making a different quilt square each month. Each quilt square can be a stand alone, used as a hot pad or a square in a larger project. The class will be offered monthly, with a different quilt square taught at each meeting. Participants may choose to attend one class, many classes or all twelve. Those choosing to make all 12 quilt squares will have a complete "calendar quilt" at the end of the year. Class registration is required each month. (If registering a child, please register only your child aged 9-18 so we can purchase the correct amount of materials. The accompanying adult should NOT be registered.) All registrants aged 9-12 must attend with a responsible adult and have basic sewing knowledge. Registration required.

Baby’s Afternoon Out: 1-2pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join us for an afternoon of early literacy fun for babies! There will be stories, songs, and sensory activities for babies to interact with at the end of the program. Registration required.
Kids Club: 4-5pm. Come hang out each Wednesday and enjoy a different activity each week. Activities will range from play-doh to crafts to LEGOs! For Kids ages 6-11 years old. No registration required.
STEAM: Snowflake Art: 4-5pm. Cultural Arts Center. **If you were unable to come on Tuesday, January 27, please join us at the Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center for afterschool fun making snowflake salt art on Wednesday, February 4 at 4:00. Create salt art and learn how to paint snowflakes with salt. Simple supplies, accessible science, and fun art make this an ideal indoor steam activity. All supplies will be provided. The day will be filled with shopping, eating, drinking and treating yourself. This event is completely FREE! On the day of the event, head to any participating business to get your map and list of specials. You can walk around and stop at locations as you please for specials, refreshments, food, raffles, giveaways and more!
