  • Toddler Time: 10-11am. Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and other activities. This storytime is designed for Toddlers, but all are welcome!

  • Stories & Art with Ms. Ashley: 10:30-11:30am. Cultural Arts Center.

  • Meet & Make Mondays: 3-6pm. Cultural Arts Center.

  • Sensory Friendly Storytime: 4-4:45pm. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes.

  • Monday Mystery Book Club: 6-7pm. Join us for a lively discussion of mystery books each month. From cozy mysteries to detective novels to thrillers, chat about your prime suspects, the crime, characters, and more. You do not have to finish the book before you come, but be warned: spoilers lie ahead. Registration required.

Bouncetime at SIGS

9am-12pm. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered weekdays M-F. FUN OPEN PLAY FOR FRIENDS UNDER 54". Two large bounce houses, a huge slide, trampolines, a foam pit, and lots of space to run, jump, and play! $8/child or $40 punch card for 6 visits or multiple kids.

Tot Time at SIGS

9:30-11am. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays. Limited to first 20 child participants. Our TOT SPOT program is for children 3 and under for socialization, movement, and music. Students will meet in our Launch Pad UPSTAIRS and complete some obstacles, and there will be music, games, and storytime. One adult may enter with a child.

Music Bingo Mondays

  • Babies & Books: 10-10:35am. Join us on Tuesday mornings for songs and stories! For ages 2 and under.

  • It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. 

  • STEAM: Snowflake Salt Art: 4-5pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join us at the Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center for afterschool fun making snowflake salt art. Create salt art and learn how to paint snowflakes with salt. Simple supplies, accessible science, and fun art make this an ideal indoor steam activity. All supplies will be provided. We hope to see you there!

  • Pajama Time Stories: 6-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children's librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun "bedtime" stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family's regular weekly bedtime routine.

  • Mother Goose On the Loose: 1-2pm. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings.  After the storytime, we'll have 30 minutes of play and social time.  *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.

  • Winter Teen Tuesday: Puzzles! 5-6pm. Come chill at the library for Teen Tuesday!  This month you can come and work a puzzle! Teens & tweens are welcome.  Registration is recommended and snacks will be provided!

  • Baby’s Afternoon Out: 1-2pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join us for an afternoon of early literacy fun for babies! There will be stories, songs, and sensory activities for babies to interact with at the end of the program. Registration required.

  • Kids Club: 4-5pm. Come hang out each Wednesday and enjoy a different activity each week. Activities will range from play-doh to crafts to LEGOs! For Kids ages 6-11 years old. No registration required.

  • Sew…What’s Going On: 5:30-7:30pm. Participants that have been in the Quilt Block-a-Month program can register for this class to assemble the final project.  Participants will need to bring all their completed blocks and 1.5 yards of 45" cotton fabric of their choice to participate in the program (less fabric needed for fewer blocks.)  No backing fabric will be supplied.

The Clarksville group meets in-person the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m.  The group started out as an Oprah Book Club group and has continued for the past 25 years with lively discussions and thoughtful reading. The club discusses a wide variety of books and authors both fiction and non-fiction. 

  • Lit Ladies Book Club: 6-7pm. Join the Lit Ladies as we discuss the novel "The Heretic's Daughter" by Kathleen Kent.

The Bunco Squad Rolls Again

The Bunco Squad is back!  It is August, and Suzie’s turn to host.  She thinks she is hosting a normal bunco night, but with this bunch, normal is never . . .well. . .normal.  Join the ladies you fell in love with for another laugh-filled and heart-felt evening of FUN. Written by Derby Dinner’s very own, Jim Hesselman, this comedy is a slice of life with characters we all can recognize from our own neighborhoods.
