Toddler Time

Wiggles & Giggles Learning Lab

10am-12pm. Griffin Recreation Center, New Albany, IN. The Learning Lab offers a range of playful learning opportunities for young children. Monthly sensory bins, engaging STEM activities, and creative crafts are just a few of the adventures awaiting your little ones! Free event. Ages 5 and under.

Stories & Art with Ms. Ashley

10:30-11:30am. The Cultural Arts Center. 201 E Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Stories, songs, and movement activities followed by an art project to take home. For preschool ages. Registration required.

Summer Storyhour at the New Washington Library

1-1:45pm. New Washington Library. Children under five and a caregiver will enjoy songs, stories, and crafts at the library this summer. Registration required — call the library to register.

Meet & Make Mondays

3-6pm. Cultural Arts Center. 201 E Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Bug in a bag! Get ready for a creative, eco-friendly art series where imagination meets sustainability. In this 4-week program, patrons will bring, swap, and transform everyday materials into imaginative bug creations. From quirky and whimsical to detailed and realistic, each bug will become part of a collaborative community “Bug Garden” display. Registration required.

Sensory Friendly Storytime

4-4:45pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes.

Tails & Tales: Mia the Therapy Dog

4-5pm. Galena Branch. Come read to therapy dog, Mia! She loves to have stories read to her! Anyone can come read to her, each person who signs up will have a 10 minute time slot to read one on one for up to 6 readers each visit. Registration required.

Twilight Tales at the Museum

6-6:45pm. The Cultural Arts Center Gallery. 201 E Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Step into a world of wonder as the museum transforms into a cozy storytelling haven at dusk. For children ages 3-8 and their families. Registration required.

Music Bingo Mondays

7-9pm. The Earl. Recurring weekly on Monday. New Albany, IN. Free event.

Bouncetime at SIGS

9am-12pm. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered weekdays M-F. Fun open play for friends under 54”. Two large bounce houses, a huge slide, trampolines, a foam pit, and lots of space to run, jump, and play! $8/child or $40 punch card for 6 visits or multiple kids.

Tot Time at SIGS

9:30-11am. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays. Limited to first 20 child participants. Our TOT SPOT program is for children 3 and under for socialization, movement, and music. Students will meet in our Launch Pad UPSTAIRS and complete some obstacles, and there will be music, games, and storytime. One adult may enter with a child.

Babies & Books

10-10:35am. New Albany Main Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Join us on Tuesday mornings for songs and stories! For ages 2 and under.

It’s a Small World Storytime

11am-12pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. You’re invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all.

Mother Goose On the Loose

1-2pm. Galena Digital Library. 6954 US-150, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings. After the storytime, we’ll have 30 minutes of play and social time. *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.

Summer Storyhour at the Henryville Library

1-1:45pm. Henryville Library, Henryville, IN. Children under five and a caregiver will enjoy songs, stories, and crafts at the library this summer. Registration required — call the library to register.

Sellersburg Teen/Adult Crochet Club

5:30-6:30pm. Sellersburg Library. Bring your crochet or knitting project to work on. Open to tweens, teens, and adults. No registration required.

Pajama Time Stories

6-6:45pm. New Albany Main Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children’s librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun “bedtime” stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family’s regular weekly bedtime routine.

Jeopardy Bar League

7-9pm. Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. JEOPARDY! Bar League, the official bar trivia experience from America’s Favorite Quiz Show is at Dog Haus Biergarten every Tuesday! Free event.

Baby’s Afternoon Out

1-2pm. Cultural Arts Center. 201 E Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Join us for an afternoon of early literacy fun for babies! There will be stories, songs, and sensory activities for babies to interact with at the end of the program. Registration required.

Kid’s Club

4-5pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Come hang out each Wednesday and enjoy a different activity each week. Activities will range from play-doh to crafts to LEGOs! For Kids ages 6-11 years old. No registration required.

812 Bar Bingo

Thursday, June 4

FREE EVENTS

Move & Groove Storytime

10:30-11:30am. Galena Digital Library. 6954 US-150, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119. Join us at Galena on Thursdays as we move and groove to some fun books, basic rhythms and rhymes, and different music genres! We’ll use things like a drum, hand bells, rhythm sticks, egg shakers, or scarves in this lively and interactive storytime. Moove & Groove will help build early literacy skills, social interaction, and blossoming young music lovers!

Homeschool Game Club

10:30am-12pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Kids ages 6–12 (and their siblings) are invited to play fun board and card games, build teamwork and problem-solving skills, and make new friends. A weekly social and educational space just for homeschool families!

Teen Scene

6-7:30pm. New Albany Central Library. Hang out with us every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Teen Scene! Take a break in the middle of the week with a new activity, game, craft, or anything else we dream up, plus snacks! All kids ages 11-18 welcome.

Surfside Summer Jams

7-10pm. The Depot at Noco. New name, same great concerts! Surfside Summer Jams features local and regional bands at Jeffersonville’s coolest venue EVERY THURSDAY, May-September. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. Bag chairs are encouraged for the lawn. The Depot features a full bar, food trucks, boutique shops and more!

Line Dance Lessons

6-8pm. American Legion Sellersburg. Every Thursday we have a line dance class. All ages welcome, $5 per person (Legion members are free). We start with Ultra Beginner dances and work our way up. Wear comfortable shoes and prepare to have fun while getting your steps in.

Twilight Thursday at Churchill Downs

Gates open 4pm, first race 5pm. Churchill Downs, Louisville, KY. Twilight Thursdays return with thoroughbred racing, $2 select domestic beer, live music, and food trucks in the Paddock Plaza each Thursday of the Spring Meet. Tickets required.

Wild Lights at the Louisville Zoo

Enter 7-10pm, route closes 11:30pm. Louisville Zoo. 1100 Trevilian Way, Louisville, KY 40213. Four immersive themed realms of handcrafted Chinese lantern displays – Magical Forest, Magical Ocean, Pre-Historic Animals, and Wondrous Asia. Thursdays-Sundays through July 26. Tickets $16-35.

It’s a hub of activity that also features live local entertainment, health and wellness activities, and special kids’ events throughout the day, making it a destination for all ages.

Summer Yoga at the Falls
