Monday, June 30

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Toddler Time: 10-11am. Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and other activities. This storytime is designed for Toddlers, but all are welcome!

    • Summer Lunch Activity: Paper Football and Popsicle Field Goals: 11-11:45am. Start your day with some fun before lunch! Join us for a new hands-on craft or activity every weekday at 11 AM, right next to the Café Area at New Albany Central Library. Activities are open to all children and teens (0–18) and change daily — from art projects to games to creative challenges. Stick around afterward for a free Summer Lunch! No registration required.

    • Summer Meals Program: 12-12:45pm. The Summer Meals program is back! All children 0-18 years old can enjoy a FREE lunch and fun activity at New Albany Central Library every weekday from June 2 - July 25. We’ll have a new craft or activity every day, starting at 11 AM next to the Cafe Area. Free lunch will be served from 12 PM - 12:45 PM. No registration is required. Just drop by!

    • CAC Family Cinema: 1:30-3:30pm. Inside Out 2 is the feature on this weeks big screen.  Along with enjoying the movie and a free snack the craft will be an Origami Memory Journal.

    • Special Olympics Celebration: 2-3pm. Join us for this all ages event to read stories and learn fun facts about the Special Olympics. Special Olympians are welcome to bring any memorabilia from their games and will have an opportunity to share their experiences. We will be joined by community organizations for folks who have questions or want to connect. You won’t want to miss it! Registration required.

    • Sensory Friendly Storytime: 4-4:45pm. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes. Here, children are free to stand up, walk around, etc.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Pre 4th of July Concert - The Memphis Redhots featuring Memphis Beck: 5-7pm. Join us on this date at our Jeffersonville location for a Pre 4th of July Concert with The Memphis Redhots and featuring Memphis Beck! They will be performing a medley of the most popular patriotic songs about America! This concert will be held outside on the Youth Terrace. In case of rain, it will be moved indoors! Light refreshments will be served.

  • Library Events - Harrison County

    • Lego Club: 3pm, Corydon Branch

  • Morning Walk Club: 8-10am. Southern Indiana Sports Center. Join us weekdays from 8-10 a.m. at the climate-controlled Southern Indiana Sports Center for a comfortable and energizing way to stay active. Free event.

  • Cultural Pass 2025: Cultural Pass offers young people ages 0-21 and their families in the Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana area access to participate in arts, culture, science, history, heritage, and nature activities provided by over 50 venues, free of charge, from May 31 through August 10, 2025. New for 2025 download the app to your phone.

  • Dinopalooza at the Zoo: May 17 - September 1, travel back 65 to 200 million years in time to meet iconic prehistoric animals! Encounter 23 roaring, breathing giants from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Enjoy the world’s tallest, life-sized robotic dinosaurs — ranging from 5-foot-long baby triceratops to a 40-foot-long tyrannosaurus rex. Free with admission or membership.

  • Retro-Active-Vision: Works by Scott Scarboro Exhibition: 10am-7pm. The Cultural Arts Center. Exhibit open May 22nd-October 18th. Multimedia artist Scott Scarboro has utilized numerous materials and processes for self-expression for over 3 decades. This exhibit is not really a retrospective, but a sampling of his hand-glitched videos, mixed media sculptures and quilts from the past, his current sound and video creations, along with offerings to the universe for hope and luck for future conceptions.

  • Fossil Bed Discovery Hike: 1-2pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Discover the wonders of the fossil beds with a park naturalist. We will look at Devonian marine fossils and discuss how they lived, what they ate, and how and why they were preserved. Hike lasts 60 minutes. Meet on deck. We walk down 60 steps to fossil beds and return via ramp. (Or use ramp if participants have problems with steps.) Please wear shoes suitable for walking on rocks. Free event.

  • Get Fit, Floyd County!: 6-7pm. Kevin Hammersmith Park. Floyd County Parks and Recreation offers FREE outdoor group fitness classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings! All Get Fit, Floyd County! classes will take place at the KFC Stage and turf grass area, located between the main entrance to the New Albany Little League fields and the splash pad.

  • Music Bingo Mondays: 6:30-8:30pm. Derby City Pizza New Albany. Prizes: $5 for single, $5 for double bingo, $10 for coverall.

Tuesday, July 1

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Babies and Books: 10am-10:30am. Join us on Tuesday mornings as we sing, read board books, and have fun learning early literacy! Registration not required.

    • Dusting Off the Classics: 6-7pm. Stoner. Join us for “Dusting Off the Classics." We will be meeting in the auditorium at the lower level of the library, or you may join us virtually. Registration required.

  • Library Events - Harrison County

  • SoIN Summer Passport Party: 3pm. Recbar New Albany. Celebrate the reveal with family-friendly fun at Recbar 812! Free face painter, Free balloon artist and Holiday World ticket giveaway and passport prizes. Be the first to see the new posters, meet the artist, sign up for the passports, and learn how they can guide you to some of Indiana’s most scenic, inspired and unique locations.

  • Henryville Farmer’s Market: 5-7pm. 305 North Ferguson, Henryville, IN. Henryville Farmers Market opens May 6th and runs until October 23rd. The Market will be open every Tuesday and Thursday. Help support your local farmers and Small Businesses. We will also have Food Trucks at some of the Markets. We will let everyone know the week before what Food Truck will be there.

  • Pizza & Chill at Wine Shop: 5-9pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Unwind with us every Tuesday from 5:00pm-9:00pm for our Pizza & Chill Special! Enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious flatbread pizza for just $20 . Plus, take advantage of our 1/2 off bottles of wine in-house to keep the good vibes flowing.

  • Kids Eat Free Tuesday: 4-10pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Every Tuesday, for every adult meal purchased, one child under the age of 12 can order a meal from the kid’s menu for free.

  • Music Bingo: 7pm, Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. Join us every Tuesday for MUSIC BINGO!

Wednesday, July 2

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Wiggle Wednesday Storytime: 10-10:45am. Join us at Galena on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. to wiggle our wiggles out, read stories and sing songs! Registration not required.

    • Pre-K Storytime: 11-11:45am. The Cultural Arts Center. Pre-K Storytime helps children ages 3-5 get ready for kindergarten with stories, songs, and fun activities that build early literacy and social skills. Siblings are welcome! No registration required.

    • Summer Lunch Activity: 11-11:45am. Start your day with some fun before lunch! Join us for a new hands-on craft or activity every weekday at 11 AM, right next to the Café Area at New Albany Central Library.     • Family Education Classes with CCYS: 6-8pm. Join us each Wednesday for free, in-person Family Education & Support Classes, presented by the Clark County Youth Shelter and Family Services. These supportive and engaging sessions are perfect for parents, guardians, and anyone in a caregiving role. The 9-week series covers topics such as community resources, healthy discipline, communication skills, understanding misbehavior, and setting children up for school success. Participants are entered into a monthly prize drawing for each session they attend!

    • Outdoor Yoga at Galena: 6-7pm. Galena. Join us on Wednesdays through the Summer for an outdoor yoga class with Instructor, Maria Peppas. This class is a basic beginner Yoga class that will help you destress after your day. Yoga mats will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. We hope to see you there! Registration required.

  • Kid’s Cruise: 1-3pm. Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Learn about the power of steam aboard the Mary M. Miller in Louisville! The Ohio River is fun for everyone! Enjoy free Adventure Passports and activities on our most family-friendly cruise. And because it is a tradition, every excursion will end with an optional dance party just for fun. Tickets required.

  • Fossil Bed Discovery Hike: 1-2pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Discover the wonders of the fossil beds with a park naturalist. We will look at Devonian marine fossils and discuss how they lived, what they ate, and how and why they were preserved. Hike lasts 60 minutes. Meet on deck. We walk down 60 steps to fossil beds and return via ramp. (Or use ramp if participants have problems with steps.) Please wear shoes suitable for walking on rocks. Free event.

  • Charlestown Farmer’s Market: 3-6pm. 1370 Monroe St., Charlestown, IN. Recurring weekly on Wednesdays.

  • Free Music in the Park: 6pm. Sam Peden Community Park. On the first Wednesday of the month at 6pm. Shelter 1, Sam Peden Community Park, 3037 Grant Line Road, New Albany, IN. BRING A CHAIR!

  • Roald Dahl’s MATILDA THE MUSICAL: 6pm. Derby Dinner Playhouse. The story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. Inspired by the twisted genius of Roald Dahl and packed with high-energy dance numbers, this Broadway Musical Comedy will thrill adults and children alike! Tickets required.

  • Retro 4th of July Cookie Decorating Class: 6:30pm. The Whimsical Cookie. Tickets required.

  • Recbar 812 Bingo: 7pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Free to play. Free to win! Come join us every Wednesday for Bar Bingo. Prizes for every round. One final coverall round every week for a rolling $50 jackpot. If no one wins, the $50 moves on to the next week! $2 off all adult slushies! This is a 21+ event to participate.

    • Music & Movement: 10-10:45am. Join us at Galena on Thursdays to help your child learn some basic rhythms that will help with early literacy before they begin Kindergarten. Ms. Ashley will use bells, rhythm sticks, scarves and more for these exercises!

    • Family Storytime in the Gallery: 10:30-11:30am. Thursday Family Storytimes will explore the world of art through fun stories and crafts, each week focusing on a new theme, artist or activity. Registration is required.

    • Louisville Orchestra: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie: 10:30-11:30am. Clarksville Branch. Come listen as a quintet from the Louisville Orchestra presents "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." Instrumentalists from the  Orchestra will read the story about all the trouble you can get into by simply giving a mouse a cookie, and play musica.

    • Louisville Orchestra: Bear Snores On: 10:30am-12pm. The Louisville Orchestra returns to bring Karma Wilson's Bear Snores On to life.

  • Library Events - Harrison County

  • Wreath Making Workshop at Lavender Creek Farm: 10:30am. Lavender Creek Farm 5551 Highway 62 NE , Corydon. Tickets must be purchased by July 1 so that we are able to prepare for everyone who will be attending. Lavender wreaths are very beautiful and fragrant! Tickets for wreath making are $38. That includes all of the materials you need and the fresh lavender already cut to make your own, plus personal assistance on how to make it. Our new coffee and lemonade truck, La Petit Cafe, will be set up during the workshop to purchase our lavender lemonade and new iced lavender honey lattes while you make your wreath.

  • Silent Book Club: 6-8pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Having a “silent” book club allows everyone flexibility to come and go as they please each week while getting to see both new and familiar faces. This means everyone gets to bring their current read and read at their own pace. We will be pouring some fun wines and sharing some yummy snacks! Feel free to bring whatever you need to be comfortable!

Friday, July 4

  • Jeffersonville Celebrating Freedom Parade: 10am-12pm. It will be in the 200-500 blocks of Spring Street in Historic Downtown Jeffersonville. Join us in Warder Park after the parade for face painting, balloon-making, hot dogs, and the National Anthem.

  • Popcorn Festival: 1-10pm. Downtown Corydon. Join us for the 2025 Harrison County Popcorn Festival, happening July 4th and 5th in beautiful downtown Corydon, Indiana! This two-day celebration honors our county’s rich agricultural roots with a festive lineup that includes a hometown parade, live music, a beer garden, local food and craft vendors, and of course—plenty of delicious popcorn.

  • Corydon Farmer’s Market: 4-7pm. 124 S Mulberry St., Corydon.

  • Jammin’ In Jeff: 5pm. The Riverstage 100 W. Riverside Drive. Free concert.

  • Town of Sellersburg’s Independence Day Event: 5-9pm. Sellersburg American Legion located at 412 N New Albany St, Sellersburg, IN 47172. Come enjoy food, music, shaved ice, and fireworks on the 4th of July!

  • Waterfront Park Fourth of July: 5-10pm. Celebrate Independence Day with us on Friday, July 4, 2025, for an evening of fun, music, and fireworks on the Big Four Lawn!

  • Anchors Away Fridays: 8-10pm, Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Leave your stress behind on the shore! Grab a cocktail, sit back and relax to a DJ spinning tunes with a Yacht Rock theme. With a chill 1980’s vibe, this cruise and onboard entertainment is the perfect place to unwind! Anchors Away Fridays cruises are two hours. Tickets required.

  • Madison Regatta and Roostertail Music Festival: July 4-6. Madison, Indiana. Madison Regatta has been held annually for 73 years along the Ohio River & is one of the largest hydroplane races in the United States. The festival also consists of numerous other events including the Roostertail Music Festival, Regatta Pageants & more. Tickets required.

Saturday, July 5

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Tails and Tales - Read to Pickles the Therapy Dog: 10-11am. Come read to therapy dog, Pickles! She is a 3 year old lab who loves to have stories read to her! This program is intended to help reluctant readers read. Anyone can come read to her. Registration is required.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Movie Sing-Along Club Presents Frozen: 1-4pm. From 1p.m.- 4 p.m. families and fans are invited to join Jeff Library for our movie sing-along club! This month, we will feature the hit movie Frozen!

    • Fresh Art: a Guide to Public Art in Southern Indiana: 2-3pm. Clarksville Branch. Join us as local artist Daniel Boone shows us various art installations around Southern Indiana.

  • Library Events - Harrison County

    • Popcorn Festival Drop-in Crafts: All Day, Corydon Branch

  • New Albany Summer Farmer’s Market: 8am-12pm. 210 E Market St. New Albany. Summer Session of the New Albany Local Farmers Market - Wines, Slushies, baked goods, fresh veggies, flowers, meats, food truck, etc.

  • Jeffersonville Farmers Market: 9:30-12pm. Big Four Station. The Jeffersonville Farmers Market provides fresh, local products year round. Find us at Big Four Bridge on Saturdays from 9:30am-noon.

  • Saturdays on the Square: 10am-1pm. Check out local vendors on the Charlestown City Square every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Saturdays on the Square Pop-up Market. Vendors range from local artists, craft makers, bakers, food, authors, civic groups, and more.

  • Afternoon Cruise: 12-2pm, Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Take it slow under the Southern sun with a delightful cruise along the Ohio River in Louisville. Your whole crew will enjoy the experience. Join us for a fun, informal excursion with free Adventure Passports for the kids. You can opt to enjoy a pre-selected boxed lunch on our Picnic Lunch or just sit back and enjoy the ride! Tickets required.

Sunday, July 6

  • Floyds Knobs Farmers Market: 9:30am-1:30pm. Intersection of Lawrence Banet Rd and Highway 150.

  • Sunday Funday: 1-3pm. Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Turn your Sunday into #SundayFunDay aboard the historic Belle of Louisville! Cruise away the afternoon as you take in the sights and sounds of the Ohio River. Whether you choose to enjoy a delicious buffet meal option or just sit back and feel the breeze on our outdoor decks, wrap up your weekend your way. Tickets required.
