Monday, June 9

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Toddler Time: 10-11am. Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and other activities. This storytime is designed for Toddlers, but all are welcome!

    • Summer Meals Program: 12-12:45pm. The Summer Meals program is back! All children 0-18 years old can enjoy a FREE lunch and fun activity at New Albany Central Library every weekday from June 2 - July 25. We’ll have a new craft or activity every day, starting at 11 AM next to the Cafe Area. Free lunch will be served from 12 PM - 12:45 PM. No registration is required. Just drop by!

    • Crispus Attucks Escape Room Experience: 1-2pm. Galena. Engage with a captivating slice of Indiana’s past, making history come alive in an unforgettable adventure. Gather your team, spark your curiosity, and dive into an immersive experience filled with excitement, challenges, and a newfound appreciation for Crispus Attucks High School’s legacy. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary opportunity! Registration required.

    • CAC Family Cinema: 1:30-3:30pm. Showing this week the comical Dog Man.  Create your own comic book and enjoy a free snack & juice along with the movie. Registration required.

    • Tails and Tales - Read to Pickles the Therapy Dog: 4-5pm. Come read to therapy dog, Pickles! She is a 4 year old lab who loves to have stories read to her! Anyone can come read to her! Each person who signs up will have a 10 minute time slot to read one on one for up to 6 readers each visit. Registration required.

    • Sensory Friendly Storytime: 4-4:45pm. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes. Here, children are free to stand up, walk around, etc.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • The Merry Melodies in Concert: 1:30-2:30pm. Join us on this date for an afternoon concert of Patriotic-Americana songs featuring The Merry Melodies, under the direction of the amazing Marilyn Scott!

  • Floyd County 4-H Fair Week: 9am-7pm. he Floyd County 4-H Fair will take place June 9th-13th at the Fairgrounds, 2818 Green Valley Rd. New Albany.

  • Cultural Pass 2025: Cultural Pass offers young people ages 0-21 and their families in the Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana area access to participate in arts, culture, science, history, heritage, and nature activities provided by over 50 venues, free of charge, from May 31 through August 10, 2025. New for 2025 download the app to your phone.

  • Music Bingo Mondays: 6:30-8:30pm. Derby City Pizza New Albany. Prizes: $5 for single, $5 for double bingo, $10 for coverall.

Tuesday, June 10

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • SoIN Tourism Presentation: 10-11am. Vintage Cafe is a monthly program for adults where we explore different hobbies and activities while socializing and have a fun time. This month's program features a presentation from SoIn Tourism!  Tourism often elicits images of beaches, mountains and faraway destinations. But what about the tourism happening right here in our own backyard? Join SoIN Tourism Communications Manager Anna Rosales-Crone for a presentation on how SoIN Tourism works to attract visitors to Clark and Floyd counties and how visitor spending positively impacts our local community. Registration required.

    • Babies and Books: 10am-10:30am. Join us on Tuesday mornings as we sing, read board books, and have fun learning early literacy! Registration not required.

    • All Star Journal Jams: 3-4pm. Attention writers 8-12, join us for this special Journal Jams held at the Cultural Arts Center, where we'll create, hang out, and talk about writing.  Writers can come to work on their own projects, or join us in fun free writing exercises to stretch their brains. Writers get a new sticker each session. Journals are provided, but writers are more than welcome to bring their own. Snacks are provided to fuel creativity. Registration required.

    • Pajama Time Stories: 6pm-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. Registration not required.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Mother Goose Time: 10:30-11:15am. A fast-paced and interactive program for children ages 0-2 and their caregivers. Adult participation and interaction ensure the success of this program. Siblings may bring a doll or stuffed animal to bounce. Arrive early to get a spot.

    • Anime Club: 4-5pm. This club is all about Anime. Join us for games, projects, movies and more. Long-time members and new fans are welcome. Meet in the Teen Area. Registration required.

  • ½ Priced Bottle Tuesdays: 3-10pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Every Tuesday ½ priced bottles of wine in house. Bring a friend (or two!) and come enjoy the Wine Shop.

  • Henryville Farmer’s Market: 5-7pm. 305 North Ferguson, Henryville, IN. Henryville Farmers Market opens May 6th and runs until October 23rd. The Market will be open every Tuesday and Thursday. Help support your local farmers and Small Businesses. We will also have Food Trucks at some of the Markets. We will let everyone know the week before what Food Truck will be there.

  • Pizza & Chill at Wine Shop: 5-9pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Unwind with us every Tuesday from 5:00pm-9:00pm for our Pizza & Chill Special! Enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious flatbread pizza for just $20 . Plus, take advantage of our 1/2 off bottles of wine in-house to keep the good vibes flowing.

  • Half Baked: 6pm. Derby Dinner Playhouse. Recurring Daily through June 29. Retired brothers Jay and Sonny Allen move to central Florida with their wives to open a cafe. When the business starts to fail and their nest egg dries up, they decide to take drastic action and generate some cash. Action that includes murder for hire and baking cannabis into the appetizers to ‘stimulate’ business! And when an old boyfriend and a Latvian loan shark arrive on the scene, things really get complicated. This new comedy is a sure recipe for hilarity! Tickets required.

  • Kids Eat Free Tuesday: 4-10pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Every Tuesday, for every adult meal purchased, one child under the age of 12 can order a meal from the kid’s menu for free.

  • Music Bingo: 7pm, Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. Join us every Tuesday for MUSIC BINGO!

Wednesday, June 11

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Wiggle Wednesday Storytime: 10-10:45am. Join us at Galena on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. to wiggle our wiggles out, read stories and sing songs! Registration not required.

    • Stories at Silver Street Park: 10-11am. Join us for stories, crafts, and fun the second Wednesday of every month from 10-11am at Silver Street Park in New Albany. 

    • Pre-K Storytime: 11-11:45am. The Cultural Arts Center. Pre-K Storytime helps children ages 3-5 get ready for kindergarten with stories, songs, and fun activities that build early literacy and social skills. Siblings are welcome! No registration required.

This workshop is an excellent introduction to drama and storytelling. Registration required.

    • Teen Pride Crafts: 4-5pm. Join us in the Teen Scene on Wednesdays throughout June for crafty fun and community building. Registration required.

    • Artistry Unleashed: Sculpting Like Augusta Savage: 4:30-6pm. Join us at The Cultural Arts Center for an afternoon to learn about a different type of art each month, with a reading of a book about the art or artist for inspiration. You will be able to create your own imaginative masterpiece! All art pieces will be different, because everyone sees and feels art differently. This program is a chance to learn and be creative. All supplies will be provided! Registration required.

    • Family Education Classes with CCYS: 6-8pm. Join us each Wednesday for free, in-person Family Education & Support Classes, presented by the Clark County Youth Shelter and Family Services. These supportive and engaging sessions are perfect for parents, guardians, and anyone in a caregiving role. The 9-week series covers topics such as community resources, healthy discipline, communication skills, understanding misbehavior, and setting children up for school success. Participants are entered into a monthly prize drawing for each session they attend!

    • Outdoor Yoga at Galena: 6-7pm. Galena. Join us on Wednesdays through the Summer for an outdoor yoga class with Instructor, Maria Peppas. This class is a basic beginner Yoga class that will help you destress after your day. Yoga mats will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. We hope to see you there! Registration required.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Preschool Prep: 10:30-11:15am. Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and movement activities which encourage early literacy and kindergarten readiness skills. Ages 2-5 with a caregiver. Siblings are welcome. Space and materials are limited.

    • Create a Stuffy: 2-3:30pm. Teens and Tweens come and pick the feel of your stuffy, The fabric and the thread. Pick the look of your stuffy, the shape and the size! Then sew it together to make a one of a kind creation just for you. Registration required.

  • Kid’s Cruise: 1-3pm. Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Learn about the power of steam aboard the Mary M. Miller in Louisville! The Ohio River is fun for everyone! Enjoy free Adventure Passports and activities on our most family-friendly cruise. And because it is a tradition, every excursion will end with an optional dance party just for fun. Tickets required.

  • Charlestown Farmer’s Market: 3-6pm. 1370 Monroe St., Charlestown, IN. Recurring weekly on Wednesdays.

  • Recbar 812 Bingo: 7pm, RecBar 812 (New Albany). Free to play. Free to win! Come join us every Wednesday for Bar Bingo. Prizes for every round. One final coverall round every week for a rolling $50 jackpot. If no one wins, the $50 moves on to the next week! $2 off all adult slushies! This is a 21+ event to participate.

  • Last Call Trivia: 7pm, Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. Join us every Wednesday for Last Call Trivia! Games start at 7pm. First Place gets a $30 Dog Haus Gift Card, Second Place gets a $20 Dog Haus Gift Card, and Third Place takes home a $10 Dog Haus Gift Card.

Thursday, June 12

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Music and Movement: 10-10:45am. Join us at Galena on Thursdays to help your child learn some basic rhythms that will help with early literacy before they begin Kindergarten. Ms. Ashley will use bells, rhythm sticks, scarves and more for these exercises! Registration not required.

    • Baby Sibling Class: 10am-12:30pm. Tabitha Baird, a local doula from My Enlightened Birth, will be leading a mother-sibling class where young siblings can learn how to care for their new baby brothers or sisters.

    • Family Storytime in the Gallery: 10:30-11:30am. The Cultural Arts Center. Thursday Family Storytimes will explore the world of art through fun stories and crafts, each week focusing on a new theme, artist or activity. Registration is required.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • A Cooking Class With Retired Chef David Barnes: 2-4pm. Join us on this date when Retired Chef David Barnes will regale us with stories of his years as a working chef while preparing a number of scrumptious appetizers for our culinary enjoyment!

    • Family History Club: 6-7pm. Family history researchers of all levels are cordially invited to join our family history club. Do you want to learn how to start researching your family?

  • Twilight Thursday: 5pm. Churchill Downs. Twilight Thursdays return with live Thoroughbred racing, $2 select domestic beer, live music and an array of locally popular food trucks in The Paddock Plaza each Thursday of the Spring Meet! Tickets required.

  • Silent Book Club: 6-8pm, Wine Shop (New Albany). Having a “silent” book club allows everyone flexibility to come and go as they please each week while getting to see both new and familiar faces. This means everyone gets to bring their current read and read at their own pace. We will be pouring some fun wines and sharing some yummy snacks! Feel free to bring whatever you need to be comfortable!

  • Feud Thursdays: 7pm, Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. Join us every Thursday at 7:00pm for Last Call Feud Night! First Place gets a $30 Dog Haus Gift Card, Second Place gets a $20 Dog Haus Gift Card, and Third Place takes home a $10 Dog Haus Gift Card.

  • Movie Night “Wicked” at The Depot: 5pm. The Depot 1000 Park St. Charlestown, IN 47111. Join us at The Depot on Friday for a showing of the hit movie Wicked! Follow the adventures of Glinda and Elphaba in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical. The Depot Cafe will be open offering smoothies, bobas, and snacks! Free admission.

  • Jammin’ In Jeff: 5pm. The Riverstage 100 W. Riverside Drive. An evening with The Crashers.

  • Anchors Away Fridays: 8-10pm, Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Leave your stress behind on the shore! Grab a cocktail, sit back and relax to a DJ spinning tunes with a Yacht Rock theme. Saturday, June 14

  • Library Events - Floyd County

    • Donuts with Dad: 10-11:30am. Join us for a special pre-Father's Day celebration! Enjoy donuts, juice, and coffee, followed by a storytime featuring books about dads and family, read by a dad-on-staff. Afterward, families can participate in fun activities like the 'Dad and Me Drawing Challenge,' make 'Best Dad Ever' signs, and visit a simple photo booth. Registration required.

    • How to Paint Using Acrylics: 1-2pm. Learn how to paint using acrylics with artist and CAC museum educator Al Gorman! Enjoy a tour of art by 19th-century New Albany artist George Morrison after you finish your painting. Bring your Recbar Readers art kit from the Cultural Arts Center, or use one of ours if you don't already have one. For 0-12th grade; children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Registration is recommended.

  • Library Events - Jeffersonville Branch

    • Friends of the Library Book Sale: 10am-1pm.

    • Crocheting Class: 12-2pm. Join us if you would like to either learn how to crochet or just fine tune your skills!

    • Family Game Day: 2-3pm. We are cracking open the game cabinet to let you and your friends try out some of our favorites! Library staff will be on hand to get you started.

  • New Albany Summer Farmer’s Market: 8am-12pm. 210 E Market St. New Albany. Summer Session of the New Albany Local Farmers Market - Wines, Slushies, baked goods, fresh veggies, flowers, meats, food truck, etc.

  • Pirate Dash 5k: 8:30am. Charlestown State Park. The Pirate Dash 5K is the first leg of the Triple Crown of Charlestown. Held at Charlestown State Park over a cross country course, the event benefits the Charlestown High School cross country program. $25 registration required.

  • Art Mobile: 9am-12pm. In continued efforts to make art accessible to all, Jeffersonville Public Art is bringing the FREE art mobile back again this year!  Participants from all ages and backgrounds can tap into their creativity in accessible community spaces.

  • Saturdays on the Square: 10am-1pm. Check out local vendors on the Charlestown City Square every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Saturdays on the Square Pop-up Market. Vendors range from local artists, craft makers, bakers, food, authors, civic groups, and more.

  • Pinkalicious: 12pm. Derby Dinner Playhouse. What happens when a little girl eats too many pink cupcakes? She turns pink, of course! See how Pinkalicious and her brother handle it in this hilarious musical based on the best-selling book.

  • Day at the Races: 12:45pm. Churchill Downs. Tickets required.

  • Major League Baseball Pitch Hit & Run: 12-4pm. Louisville Slugger Field. 401 E Main St, Louisville. Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) events provide boys and girls an opportunity to showcase their baseball and softball skills, with the opportunity of earning a chance to attend and compete for a Championship during the 2025 MLB World Series! Approved local events give youth organizations an opportunity to provide a free and high-quality experience for their participants. Even more, by hosting, they expand their programs, while building a strong relationship with MLB, MiLB, and its partners. The Pitch, Hit & Run program is a free event series for boys and girls, and consists of a series of movements that are important in baseball and softball. Participants will compete in either 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, or 13-14 age division, with the Age Cut-off set on November 15, 2025. They will be tested, and their measurements will be recorded for points. Based on their scores, they will advance from a local event to a Team Championship and then to the National Finals hosted at the World Series. Registration required.

  • Fossil Bed Discovery Hike: 1-2pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Discover the wonders of the fossil beds with a park naturalist. We will look at Devonian marine fossils and discuss how they lived, what they ate, how / why they were preserved. Hike lasts 60 minutes. Meet on deck. We walk down 60 steps to fossil beds and return via ramp. Free event.

  • Lewis & Clark Junior Ranger Program: 3-4pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. As an official stop on the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail, we offer the National Park’s Lewis & Clark Junior Ranger program. It comes with a J. R. activity booklet, and participants (geared for age 7 to 13) will get a Junior Ranger pin after filling the activity booklet out. Free event.

  • Afternoon Cruise: 12-2pm, Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Take it slow under the Southern sun with a delightful cruise along the Ohio River in Louisville. Your whole crew will enjoy the experience. Join us for a fun, informal excursion with free Adventure Passports for the kids. You can opt to enjoy a pre-selected boxed lunch on our Picnic Lunch or just sit back and enjoy the ride! Tickets required.

  • Loucity vs Birmingham Legion FC: 8pm. Lynn Family Stadium. Nonprofit Night. Tickets required.

  • Moonlight Cruise: 8-10pm, Belle of Louisville Riverboats. There are few things as beautiful as Louisville in the moonlight aboard the Mary M. Miller. Enjoy yourself out on the river with a gentle breeze and a delicious cocktail and leave your troubles behind! Tickets required.

Sunday, June 15

  • Floyds Knobs Farmers Market: 9:30am-1:30pm. Intersection of Lawrence Banet Rd and Highway 150.

  • Father’s Day at Churchill Downs: 11:30am. Join us for Father's Day at Churchill Downs, where tradition meets excitement, and dads are celebrated in true racing style! Tickets required.

  • Sunday Funday Cruise: 1-3pm, Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Turn your Sunday into #SundayFunDay aboard the historic Belle of Louisville! Cruise away the afternoon as you take in the sights and sounds of the Ohio River. Whether you choose to enjoy a delicious buffet meal option or just sit back and feel the breeze on our outdoor decks, wrap up your weekend your way.

  • Ohio River Monsters: 3-4pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. Plumb the depths with Seasonal Naturalist Nick Feltner. We will be exploring the curious nature of River Monsters, why we call big fish that, what kinds of things makes our imaginations reel with possibilities, and what makes the ones we have here so unique. Free event.

  • Disney's DESCENDANT'S: THE MUSICAL: 2pm. Clarksville Little Theatre. Disney's DESCENDANTS: THE MUSICAL is the stage adaptation that combines the more iconic moments from all three of the Disney Descendant movies. The audience follows the lives of the children of some very familiar Disney villains and heroes, including, Maleficent, Grimhilde, Jafar, Cruella de Vil, Beauty, Beast, and Fairy Godmother. This high energy, enthusiastic and fun 90 minute production is a good bet for the whole family. This is our youth production ages 8-15 years. Tickets required.
