  • Sensory Friendly Storytime: 4-4:45pm. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes.

  • D&D & Donuts: 6-7pm. Come one and all to our monthly TTRPG Hangout for Teens! This event is conversation and craft based, we will NOT be playing a campaign. Once a month we will get together to chat about our campaigns, characters, and all things roleplay. All table-top role playing gamers are welcome. It doesn't matter which role playing game you play, come join in the fun. There will be snacks and a craft available. Do-nut miss it! For grades 6-12th. No registration required, just stop by!

Bouncetime at SIGS

9am-12pm. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered weekdays M-F. FUN OPEN PLAY FOR FRIENDS UNDER 54". Two large bounce houses, a huge slide, trampolines, a foam pit, and lots of space to run, jump, and play! $8/child or $40 punch card for 6 visits or multiple kids.

Tot Time at SIGS

9:30-11am. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays. Limited to first 20 child participants. Our TOT SPOT program is for children 3 and under for socialization, movement, and music. Students will meet in our Launch Pad UPSTAIRS and complete some obstacles, and there will be music, games, and storytime. One adult may enter with a child.

  • Babies & Books: 10-10:35am. Join us on Tuesday mornings for songs and stories! For ages 2 and under.

  • Life Skills 101: Prioritizing Tasks & Time Management: 10-11am. Join us for a Life Skills 101 class focused on organization and decision-making. Participants will learn how to identify urgent and important tasks and develop an action plan for them. All participants will receive 2 TARC passes after the session. 

  • It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. 

  • Opening Reception, "G.W. Morrison, Artist: To a Finer Effect": 5-7pm. The Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibition, G.W. Morrison, Artist: To a Finer Effect, on display March 10 - August 1, 2026 in the Sally Newkirk Gallery. Curated by Albertus Gorman, this exhibition is presented in celebration of Gorman’s forthcoming book, the first on the artist, titled To a Fine Effect: George W Morrison, 1820-1893. G.W. Morrison, Artist: To a Finer Effect features works by 19th-century New Albany artist George W. Morrison, including many highlighted in Gorman’s book. 

  • Pajama Time Stories: 6-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children's librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun "bedtime" stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family's regular weekly bedtime routine.

  • Mother Goose On the Loose: 1-2pm. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings.  After the storytime, we'll have 30 minutes of play and social time.  *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.

  • Embroidery 101: 5:30-6:30pm. Join us at the Galena Branch to learn the basics of the embroidery machine and how to monogram your projects! Registration required.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE

6pm. Feb 18, 2026 - Mar 29, 2026. Derby Dinner Playhouse. An eclectic group of six awkward spelling champions vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion. This wildly funny Broadway Musical is a riotous ride, complete with audience participation! Tickets required.

Yoga for Depression & Anxiety

6:30-7:30pm. Heart 2 Heart Wellness Center. This class uses a series of postures to support the body in active relaxation, stress reduction and mindfulness guidance throughout the practice- leaving you with an even greater sense of peace and calm. Followed by a guided meditation that has been shown to help manage stress, reduce depression & anxiety symptoms, improve sleep, and more. $12 admission required.

  • Irish Dance Performance with Ryan Academy of Dance: 5-5:30pm. Cultural Arts Center. The Ryan Academy of Irish Dance has passed on the traditional step dances of Ireland to children and adults in southern Indiana since 2014. With roots spanning centuries, Irish dance in its modern form has been popularized through productions such as Riverdance, which displays on stage the three main categories: graceful soft-shoe dancing, social "Ceili" dancing and rhythmic hard-shoe dancing. All three styles feature lively movements with the iconic precision Irish dance is known for. Each St. Patrick's Day season, Irish dancers around the globe showcase these talents and traditions with their communities. The Ryan Academy dancers are excited to demonstrate their skills in a toe-tapping performance to help celebrate the arrival of spring and the greenest holiday of the year! Free and open to the public.

  • Inspired by Her: Women's History Month Art Series: 5-6pm. Join us each week in March for open-ended art inspired by women who changed the world through creativity, curiosity, and courage. Participants will experiment with materials and ideas while creating art that’s uniquely their own. Ages 5-12. Registration required.

  • Beginner Mat Yoga with the YMCA: 5:30-6:30pm. New to yoga? Join us for a free beginner yoga class at The Floyd County Library! Learn about yoga basics, terminology, and postures. Practice yoga at your own level in a safe and supportive environment with guidance from a registered yoga teacher from the YMCA (200RYT). Modifications will be offered as you practice each pose. Yoga mats will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own, or any optional props, straps, and sweater in case you get cold. Registration required.

  • Teen Scene: 6-7:30pm. Hang out with us every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Teen Scene! Take a break in the middle of the week with a new activity, game, craft, or anything else we dream up, plus snacks! All kids ages 11-18 welcome.

    Peter Pan

    7:30pm. New Albany High School. Peter Pan, the musical, is a high-flying adventure where Peter Pan and Tinker Bell take the Darling children on a magical journey to Neverland. There, they encounter Captain Hook, the Lost Boys, and pirates while singing iconic songs like "I'm Flying" and "I Won't Grow Up". The musical adaptation of J.M. Barrie's classic story explores themes of childhood and growing up. Tickets required.

A Year With Frog and Toad

Lewis & Clark Junior Ranger Program

2-3pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. As an official stop on the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail, we offer the National Park’s Lewis & Clark Junior Ranger program. It comes with a J. R. activity booklet, and participants (geared for age 7 to 13) will get a Junior Ranger pin after filling the activity booklet out.   $7 program fee. Meets in the classroom. Exhibit gallery admission included. Free booklets are available at the front desk. Classroom, 1 hour, $7 program fee is covered by a
grant from the Falls of the Ohio Foundation (Includes Admission).

7:30pm. New Albany High School. Peter Pan, the musical, is a high-flying adventure where Peter Pan and Tinker Bell take the Darling children on a magical journey to Neverland.
