Tot Time at SIGS

9:30-11am. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays. Limited to first 20 child participants. Our TOT SPOT program is for children 3 and under for socialization, movement, and music. Students will meet in our Launch Pad UPSTAIRS and complete some obstacles, and there will be music, games, and storytime. One adult may enter with a child.

Safari Eggventure 2026

March 14 – April 12, 2026. Louisville Zoo. FREE with Zoo admission or membership. EGGsplore your Zoo again this spring with an EGGcelent scavenger hunt game that allows you to dive deep into the Zoo while searching for hidden zoo-themed eggs, answering trivia questions and competing in some EGGstra special challenges.

  • Babies & Books: 10-10:35am. Join us on Tuesday mornings for songs and stories! For ages 2 and under.

  • Life Skills 101: Basic Needs Navigation: 10-11am. Join us for a Life Skills 101 class focused on self-advocacy and systems navigation. Participants will learn how to identify natural and formal support systems in their lives, how to create an email address, and how access essential benefits and services. All participants will receive 2 TARC passes after the session. 

  • Vintage Cafe: Garden Planning 101: 10-11am. Vintage Cafe is a monthly program for adults where we explore different hobbies and activities while socializing and have a fun time. This month, join our local Master Gardeners as they present Garden Planning 101! Please join us 10am-11am! Light refreshments will be provided. Registration required.

  • It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. 

  • Minecraft Meetup: Building with Dinosaurs: 4-5pm. Join us at the Central Library to play Minecraft Education and Build Dinosaurs. Start your journey by digging at a site to discover dino-blocks representing different dinosaur skin, eyes, and teeth. Then use your findings to create models of dinosaurs. Attendees will have more fun if they have basic knowledge of how to work a computer mouse. Spots are limited, Registration is Required. For 3rd-6th graders. 

  • All About Art for Elementary Students: 4:30-5:30pm. Cultural Arts Center. If you're in elementary school (Grade K-4), join us at the Cultural Arts Center to learn about different art techniques and artists each month. For the month of March, we will be learning about Yayoi Kusama and how she became the polka dot innovator. All supplies will be provided. We hope to see you there! Registration required.

  • Pajama Time Stories: 6-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children's librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun "bedtime" stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family's regular weekly bedtime routine.

  • Mother Goose On the Loose: 1-2pm. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings.  After the storytime, we'll have 30 minutes of play and social time.  *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.

9am-12pm. Southern Indiana Sports Center. IU Southeast coach Wiley Brown and former New Albany coach Jim Shannon are teaming up with Floyd County Parks and Recreation to offer the two-day Wiley Brown-Jim Shannon Spring Break Basketball Mini-Camp.

Disasters Experienced by the Howard's - a 55th Fire Anniversary Special Event

7-9pm. Howard Steamboat Museum Jeffersonville, Indiana. Join us on March 17th for “Disasters Experienced by the Howards” – a special event marking the 55th anniversary of our massive fire. Hosted by museum board members Christina DeMent-Pfau and Jen Weidner, this engaging talk will reflect on the 1937 flood and the devastating fire that impacted the Howards during their time in the mansion. This promises to be an evening full of fascinating history and learning. A $5.00 suggested donation is appreciated.

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE

6pm. Feb 18, 2026 - Mar 29, 2026. Derby Dinner Playhouse. An eclectic group of six awkward spelling champions vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion. This wildly funny Broadway Musical is a riotous ride, complete with audience participation! Tickets required.

  • Art History Illustrated: Reconsidering Georgia O'Keeffe In-Person: 5:30-7pm. You may think you know her intimately, but think again. O’Keeffe’s fame has eclipsed that of her husband, the photographer Alfred Stieglitz, but he deeply influenced the public’s reception of her work. Let’s explore her long life and her essential place in the history of American art, as art historian Brenda Edgar takes us on a visual tour of her most important works, and sorts out fact from fiction.
