Toddler Time

Wiggles & Giggles Learning Lab

10am-12pm. Griffin Recreation Center New Albany, IN. The Learning Lab offers a range of playful learning opportunities for young children. Monthly sensory bins, engaging STEM activities, and creative crafts are just a few of the adventures awaiting your little ones! Free event. Ages 5 and under.

Stories & Art with Ms. Ashley

Star Wars Day Movie Matinee

1-3:15pm. Clarksville Library. May the Fourth be with you on Star Wars Day! We will watch George Lucas's original 1977 film, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

Meet & Make Mondays

3-6pm. Cultural Arts Center. 201 E Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Bug in a bag. Get ready for a creative, eco-friendly art series where imagination meets sustainability. In this 4-week program, patrons will bring, swap, and transform everyday materials into imaginative bug creations. From quirky and whimsical to detailed and realistic, each bug will become part of a collaborative community “Bug Garden” display. Registration required.

Sensory Friendly Storytime

4-4:45pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes.

Makerspace Mother's Day Craft

5-7pm. Jeffersonville Library. Create something wonderful for your Mother in the Makerspace! Choose between a personalized picture frame or a keychain. These will be free (limit 1 per family).

Music Bingo Mondays

7-9pm. The Earl. Recurring weekly on Monday. New Albany IN. Free event.

Bouncetime at SIGS

9am-12pm. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered weekdays M-F. Fun open play for friends under 54”. Two large bounce houses, a huge slide, trampolines, a foam pit, and lots of space to run, jump, and play! $8/child or $40 punch card for 6 visits or multiple kids.

Tot Time at SIGS

9:30-11am. SIGS Gym New Albany. Offered Mondays & Wednesdays. Limited to first 20 child participants. Our TOT SPOT program is for children 3 and under for socialization, movement, and music. Students will meet in our Launch Pad UPSTAIRS and complete some obstacles, and there will be music, games, and storytime. One adult may enter with a child.

Babies & Books

10-10:35am. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Join us on Tuesday mornings for songs and stories! For ages 2 and under.

It’s a Small World Storytime

11am-12pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all. 

Mother Goose On the Loose

1-2pm. Galena Digital Library. 6954 US-150, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119. Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy, interactive, lapsit storytime that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for school and reading. This fun-filled 30 minute session, for infants to 23 months and caregivers (older siblings are welcome), will incorporate music, movement, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and short book readings.  After the storytime, we'll have 30 minutes of play and social time.  *Adult participation is required in order to strengthen bonds between caregiver and child. It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis and each caregiver will be given a lesson to follow along and practice at home.

Borden Book Buddies

3:30-4:30pm. Borden Library. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the Borden Library! All ages can join us for an Encanto movie showing, crafts, and snacks. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required.

Pajama Time Stories

6-6:45pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. The children's librarians will lead our Pajama Storytime with fun "bedtime" stories, rhymes and songs. Make this special storytime a part of your family's regular weekly bedtime routine.

Jeopardy Bar League

7-9pm. Dog Haus Biergarten New Albany. JEOPARDY! Bar League, the official bar trivia experience from America’s Favorite Quiz Show is at Dog Haus Biergarten every Tuesday! Free event.

Pre-K Storytime

11-11:45am. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Pre-K Storytime helps children ages 3-5 get ready for kindergarten with stories, songs, and fun activities that build early literacy and social skills. Siblings are welcome! No registration required.

Baby’s Afternoon Out

1-2pm. Cultural Arts Center. 201 E Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Join us for an afternoon of early literacy fun for babies! There will be stories, songs, and sensory activities for babies to interact with at the end of the program. Registration required.

A Gift for Mom: Crafting Session

3-5pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join Museum Educator Jessica Hartman in this guided crafting session, participants will create meaningful, handmade gifts to celebrate mothers and caregivers. Staff will introduce the activity with a brief discussion about gratitude and the importance of handmade gifts. Participants will rotate through stations or choose a project to complete at their own pace. Registration required.

Kid’s Club

4-5pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Come hang out each Wednesday and enjoy a different activity each week. Activities will range from play-doh to crafts to LEGOs! For Kids ages 6-11 years old. No registration required.

K-5: Color Your Own Bookmark

6-7pm. Clarksville Library. Library kids in grades K-5 are invited to join Ms. Monica for an evening of decorating your very own bookmark to take home! All supplies will be provided. 

812 Bar Bingo

Move & Groove Storytime

10:30-11:30am. Galena Digital Library. 6954 US-150, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119. Join us at Galena on Thursdays as we move and groove to some fun books, basic rhythms and rhymes, and different music genres!  We'll use things like a drum, hand bells, rhythm sticks, egg shakers, or scarves in this lively and interactive storytime.  Moove & Groove will help build early literacy skills, social interaction, and blossoming young music lovers!

Homeschool Game Club

10:30am-12pm. New Albany Central Library. 180 W Spring St, New Albany, IN 47150. Kids ages 6–12 (and their siblings) are invited to play fun board and card games, build teamwork and problem-solving skills, and make new friends. A weekly social and educational space just for homeschool families!

Make Your Own: Mother's Day Cutting Board - Engraving and Pick-up

11am-3pm. Galena Branch. Stop by the Galena Digital Library and pick up an engraved cutting board (boards cannot be reserved ahead of time) in honor of Mother's Day! Patrons may take one cutting board per family with a pre-engraved message with the option to engrave names onto the back.  It's first come, first serve and boards will be handed out while supplies last. Cardmaking supplies will also be available should patrons wish to make a Mother's Day card.

Teen Scene

6-7:30pm. New Albany Central Library. Hang out with us every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Teen Scene! Take a break in the middle of the week with a new activity, game, craft, or anything else we dream up, plus snacks! All kids ages 11-18 welcome.

Surfside Summer Jams

7-10pm. The Depot at Noco. New name, same great concerts! Surfside Summer Jams features local and regional bands at Jeffersonville's coolest venue EVERY THURSDAY, May-September. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. Bag chairs are encouraged for the lawn. The Depot features a full bar, food trucks, boutique shops and more!

6-8pm. American Legion Sellersburg. Every Thursday we have a line dance class. All ages welcome, $5 per person (Legion members are free). We start with Ultra Beginner dances and work our way up. Wear comfortable shoes and prepare to have fun while getting your steps in.

STEM Builders Club

3:30-4:30pm. Galena Branch. Calling all LEGO lovers, join us for a fun day of building!  Kids of all ages can play and build using the library’s LEGOs and other engineering materials. Free build is welcome or we will have fun building challenges to try. This program is open to youth of all ages!

It’s a hub of activity that also features live local entertainment, health and wellness activities, and special kids' events throughout the day, making it a destination for all ages.

Outdoor Book Sale

9am-1pm. New Albany Main Library. Join us in the library's main parking lot for incredible deals and a great selection of books during the Friends of the Library's Outdoor Book Sale. Regular prices are $1 for hardback books, 50 cents for paperback books, and 25 cents for children’s books, unless otherwise marked. 

Muffins with Mom

10-11am. New Albany Main Library. Join us for a special pre-Mother's day celebration! Families are invited to stop by and enjoy muffins, juice, and coffee while creating heartfelt crafts and cards in honor of Mother’s Day. Wrap up your visit with a simple photo booth to capture a sweet moment together.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

10am-1pm. Jeffersonville Library. The Friends of the Library, which is a volunteer support group of the Jeffersonville Township Public Library, host a Book Sale four times a month. The sales are held on the 2nd & 4th Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Our book sale room is located at the South end of the main library (closest to Court Avenue) on the lower level.
