Diwali Craft K-5: 6-7pm. Library kids in grades K-5 are invited to join Ms. Monica as we celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, with a special craft.
Haunted Scavenger Hunt & Pub Crawl 2025
Kiwanis Club, in partnership with the New Albany Wicked Walk, is excited to announce the 1st Annual Haunted Scavenger Hunt and Pub Crawl. This unique event takes participants through eight historical buildings and five pubs in downtown New Albany, combining history, fun, and a spooky twist. The scavenger hunt runs from September 12 through October 31, and tickets are $30 each, with four participants recommended per ticket. Proceeds will benefit local elementary students by providing back-to-school kits for NAFC schools. The hunt can be completed on any day, at any time, making it easy to fit into your schedule. Clues are accessed through QR codes located on the buildings, adding an interactive element to the adventure.

Southern Indiana Visitor Center Goes Upside Down
10am-5pm. Monday-SaturdayBegin your Stranger Things™ adventure in at the Southern Indiana Visitor Center! The space has been transformed with Stranger Things™–inspired scenes. See Castle Byers, snap a photo in the Byers’ living room, and wander into the Upside Down through November 26. Free event.

It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all.
Pajama Time Stories: 6pm-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. Registration not required.

Babie's Morning Out: 10:30-11:30am. Cultural Arts Center. Join us for a morning of early literacy fun for babies! There will be stories, songs, and sensory activities for babies to interact with at the end of the program.
Pre-K Storytime: 11-11:45am. Pre-K Storytime helps children ages 3-5 get ready for kindergarten with stories, songs, and fun activities that build early literacy and social skills. Siblings are welcome! No registration required.
Art in Autumn: 3-6pm. Cultural Arts Center. Using mixed-media materials, students will sculpt and paint dimensional pumpkins that pop off the canvas. They'll explore color blending, texture layering, and the art of light and shadow while connecting with seasonal storytelling and artistic expression. Perfect for middle schoolers, teens, or adults, this project encourages both personal creativity and skill-building in a relaxed, festive environment. Registration required.

On October 22nd from 6–8 PM, we’re painting our fall-favorite this mystical Autumn Glow Door . This includes 3D letters and each door hanger measures 18”. This beginner-friendly class is perfect for ages 16 and up, and all supplies are included. Whether you’re brand new to painting or just here for a fun night out, we’ll guide you step-by-step to create your own masterpiece. Tickets $35 required.

5-7pm. Greenway Park. Trail and Treat returns to Greenway Park on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025 for a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience in Charlestown. The City of Charlestown has partnered with Indiana University Southeast's Fine Arts class to present a Wizardly-themed "Magic and Mischief" Trail and Treat through scenic Greenway Park! Talented artists have brought the Harry Potter-inspired characters and scenes from the fantasy books and films to life-size pieces of art! Join the trail at any spot in the park and walk the trail to visit the many booths. Concessions will be open. The Penny Lane VW Photo Bus offers free commemorative photos from 5-7 p.m.

House of Anguish at the Culbertson Mansion has been scaring Kentuckiana for 40 years, making it one of the longest-running haunted attractions in the region. Every ticket purchased goes towards the interior restoration of the Culbertson Mansion. $18 Tickets required.
Stranger Things Trivia at Recbar 812
7-10pm. As Southern Indiana Goes Upside Down, we're hosting a special Friday night trivia featuring all the strange things fans have come to love over the past decade.
7:30pm. This adaptation of DRACULA by Wm. McNulty is an action packed, blood soaked retelling of Bram Stoker's classic tale of horror. Professor Van Helsing and his commrades must hunt down the evil Count Dracula. The conflict climaxes in a wild and shocking confrontation. Production dates are October 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 at 7:30 PM and October 19 & 26 at 2:00 PM. Tickets required.

9am. Derby Dinner Playhouse. Adapted from the best-selling book series, this delightful musical tells the story of a square pumpkin living in a round pumpkin patch on Holiday Hill Farm. A musical with big heart! Tickets required.
Flat Creek Farms & Big Creek Metalworks Fall Festival
12-10pm. Flat Creek Farms. 2292 E Cutshall Road, Austin, IN. $10 per vehicle admission required.
1-7pm. NoCo Arts & Cultural District. More than 30 artisans will be set up in the street, selling their custom-made art and wares. It's a opportunity to find unique gifts for the holidays or pick something for yourself. Missy and the Misfits will perform live at The Depot, playing their own take on classic hits and pop music. DJ Cam will be on vibe control between the band's sets, playing Halloween faves and all the music you love to dance to. Inflatables, face painting and crafts - oh my! Picasso Point will be filled with planty of activities and play. Live sculptor Joe Autry will transform a piece of wood into a work of art. Kolkin Coffee is working on a special Fright Fair roast and label that will be available for tasting and purchase. Several more things are in the works, and we'll provide updates in the event description as those are confirmed.

Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day under the iconic Twin Spires, featuring over 15 kid-friendly stations, including candy stops so your little ones can trick-or-treat along the way, exciting racing action, festive activities for children under 12, and games, crafts, and surprises that will make this a Halloween to remember! 1pm. Belle of Louisville Riverboats. Lift your spirits this spooky season and treat the family to a Halloween Kids Cruise! Aboard the Mary M. Miller, guests will have the opportunity to explore the 109-year-old vessel, as well as participate in other fa-BOO-lous activities, including Halloween-themed crafts, a trick-or-treat train and a dance party! Costumes are encouraged for this Halloween cruise, but not required. Tickets required.
Falls Feeder Fairies – Art at the Falls
3-4pm. Falls of the Ohio State Park. We’ll make decorative fairies out of acorns and other natural materials that you can place in your yard to help feed wildlife. Led by artist Mike Gibson. Your $2 program fee is covered by the Falls of the Ohio Foundation.
