Haunted Scavenger Hunt & Pub Crawl 2025
Kiwanis Club, in partnership with the New Albany Wicked Walk, is excited to announce the 1st Annual Haunted Scavenger Hunt and Pub Crawl. This unique event takes participants through eight historical buildings and five pubs in downtown New Albany, combining history, fun, and a spooky twist. The scavenger hunt runs from September 12 through October 31, and tickets are $30 each, with four participants recommended per ticket. Proceeds will benefit local elementary students by providing back-to-school kits for NAFC schools. The hunt can be completed on any day, at any time, making it easy to fit into your schedule. Clues are accessed through QR codes located on the buildings, adding an interactive element to the adventure.

Southern Indiana Visitor Center Goes Upside Down

It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all.
Read and Draw "Rainbow Fish" with Marcus Pfister: 2-3pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join us at the Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center for an exciting virtual visit with award-winning creator, Marcus Pfister! Your child will learn how to draw Rainbow Fish, enjoy a storytime of the brand-new Rainbow Fish adventure—Rainbow Fish and the Great Escape, and get the chance to ask Marcus their own questions about being an author and illustrator! This is a perfect program for homeschool families! We hope to see you there! Registration required.
Hispanic Heritage Nicho Boxes: 4-6pm. Cultural Arts Center. To honor Hispanic Culture during Hispanic Heritage Month, come to the Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center on October 14 and make a "Nicho Box" of your own. A Nicho Box is in essence a versatile personal shrine. The library will supply the box and decorative materials. To make this artwork extra personal, bring your own photos or sentimental objects that you would like to include and enshrine. This program is suggested for middle school to adult aged artists. Pajama Time Stories: 6pm-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. Registration not required.

Pre-K Storytime: 11-11:45am. Pre-K Storytime helps children ages 3-5 get ready for kindergarten with stories, songs, and fun activities that build early literacy and social skills. Siblings are welcome! No registration required.
Art in Autumn: Feathered Friends & Autumn Skies: 3-6pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join us for a seasonal nature adventure as we dive into the world of birds and their autumn journeys! In this engaging hands-on session, visitors will explore bird migration, learn why birds fly in “V” formations, and discover how the changing seasons affect local wildlife. After a read-aloud and nature discussion, visitors will create eco-friendly pinecone bird feeders using simple materials. Registration required.

House of Anguish at the Culbertson Mansion has been scaring Kentuckiana for 40 years, making it one of the longest-running haunted attractions in the region. Every ticket purchased goes towards the interior restoration of the Culbertson Mansion. $18 Tickets required.
7:30-9:30pm. Ogle Center. Two towering voices of classical music meet in a stirring evening of emotional depth and musical brilliance. Beethoven’s majestic Violin Concerto—lyrical, expansive, and deeply human—opens the program with a solo spotlight. In the second half, Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 storms in with weight and grandeur, often regarded as the spiritual successor to Beethoven himself. This is a program of pure intensity, led by Teddy Abrams. Tickets starting at $35.84.
7:30pm. This adaptation of DRACULA by Wm. McNulty is an action packed, blood soaked retelling of Bram Stoker's classic tale of horror. Professor Van Helsing and his commrades must hunt down the evil Count Dracula. The conflict climaxes in a wild and shocking confrontation.
