Toddler Time: 10-11am. Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and other activities. This storytime is designed for Toddlers, but all are welcome!
CAC Family Cinema Fall Break: Casper & Fall Leaf People: 1:30-3:30pm. Cultural Arts Center. Join us for the movie "Casper", followed by an activity making Fall Leaf People. A free snack & juice will be available. Registration required.
Stories & Art with Ms. Ashley: 3:30-4:30pm. Cultural Arts Center.
Sensory Friendly Storytime: 4-4:45pm. Sensory Friendly Storytime is a special storytime for children who may have felt left out or nervous to go to other storytimes.

Nature Scavenger Hunt: 10am-7pm. How many treasures can you find? Join us for a 2 week-long (Sept 29-Oct 11) nature scavenger hunt on the grounds of the Galena Digital Library! Pop inside the library to grab a scavenger hunt sheet and a writing utensil. Once you've found the items on the list, turn it in for a fun little prize! *An indoor hunt will be available if the weather is not agreeable.
KY Shakespeare Performance: Fairy-Tales From Around the World: 2-3pm. Please join us as we partner with KY Shakespeare to explore the history, culture, geography, and oral traditions surrounding fairy tales! Actors will perform three timeless stories from different regions and eras. Fairy Tales from Around the World is an excellent introduction to drama and storytelling, using performance to build teamwork and self-confidence while simultaneously exploring the many lessons and morals found within folk tales. Registration required.
Haunted Scavenger Hunt & Pub Crawl 2025
Kiwanis Club, in partnership with the New Albany Wicked Walk, is excited to announce the 1st Annual Haunted Scavenger Hunt and Pub Crawl. This unique event takes participants through eight historical buildings and five pubs in downtown New Albany, combining history, fun, and a spooky twist. The scavenger hunt runs from September 12 through October 31, and tickets are $30 each, with four participants recommended per ticket. Proceeds will benefit local elementary students by providing back-to-school kits for NAFC schools. The hunt can be completed on any day, at any time, making it easy to fit into your schedule. Clues are accessed through QR codes located on the buildings, adding an interactive element to the adventure.

Babies and Books: 10am-10:30am. Join us on Tuesday mornings as we sing, read board books, and have fun learning early literacy! Registration not required.
It’s a Small World Storytime: 11am-12pm. You're invited to join us each week as we learn about themes like kindness, empathy, and family through different stories, songs, and crafts from around the world. This storytime is designed with kids ages 3-6 in mind, but all kids and families are welcome. Join us every Tuesday at 11am to discover if it really is a small world after all.
Fall Journal Jams: 3-4pm. Attention young writers, join us for Journal Jams, where we create, hang out, and talk about writing. Each session, writers ages 8-12 come together to exercise our creativity, talk about writing, and hang out. Writers can come to work on their own projects, or join us in fun free writing exercises to stretch their brains. Writers get a new sticker each session. Journals are provided, but writers are more than welcome to bring their own. Snacks are provided to fuel creativity. Registration required.
Pajama Time Stories: 6pm-6:45pm. Join us for a Pajama Party every Tuesday evening at the New Albany Library! Come in your pajamas and bring a favorite blanket and stuffed animal if you like. Registration not required.

STEM Builders Club: 2-3pm. Calling all LEGO lovers, join us for a fun day of building! Kids of all ages can play and build using the library’s LEGOs and other engineering materials. Free build is welcome or we will have fun building challenges to try. This program is open to youth of all ages! Registration required.

5-7pm. 305 North Ferguson, Henryville, IN. Henryville Farmers Market opens May 6th and runs until October 23rd. The Market will be open every Tuesday and Thursday. Help support your local farmers and Small Businesses. We will also have Food Trucks at some of the Markets. We will let everyone know the week before what Food Truck will be there.

Pre-K Storytime: 11-11:45am. Pre-K Storytime helps children ages 3-5 get ready for kindergarten with stories, songs, and fun activities that build early literacy and social skills. Siblings are welcome! No registration required.

Make A Bamboo Paintbrush and Create 2 Day Workshop In-Person: 4-6pm. Join us on October 2 and October 7 at the Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center for this free, fun and useful two day workshop to make your own paintbrush and create art. On October 2, museum staff member, Al Gorman, will lead a simple paintbrush making experience using bamboo, epoxy glue, and horsehair. Once the bristles are set and trimmed, bring your brushes back to the Cultural Arts Center on October 7 for an ink drawing experience. Participants can make two or three brushes to take home and keep. All supplies are provided. Registration is required.
Teen Scene: 6-7:30pm. Hang out with us every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30pm in the Teen Scene! Take a break in the middle of the week with a new activity, game, craft, or anything else we dream up, plus snacks! All teens are welcome (11-18 years old).

6:30-11pm. Iroquois Amphitheater. The Jack O'Lantern Spectacular has become the "must-see" event of the Halloween season. Presented each October along a winding path through the majestic woods of Iroquois Park, guests are treated to an organic art gallery of more than 5,000 artistically carved pumpkins in themed settings. Tickets required.
